Corporate Identity

Corporate identity binds logo, colour, typography, image language and application rules into one consistent system.

The output of a corporate identity project is not a logo file but a system teams use every day. The centre of gravity is therefore not mark design but application rules. A logo is approved in a day; the system is used for years and its consistency only holds when the rules are clear.

A working system contains at minimum: logo variants (horizontal, vertical, single colour, negative), a colour palette with usage ratios, typographic hierarchy, photography and illustration language, iconography, layout grid and spacing rules. Colour decisions are technical rather than aesthetic: contrast must meet accessibility thresholds, colours must behave predictably in print and on screen, and light and dark variants must be defined from the start.

The most frequently skipped part is real templates: proposal document, presentation, social media, email signature, vehicle livery, packaging, site signage. When a team cannot find a template it makes its own and the system dissolves. After delivery we run a short usage training and recommend naming an internal brand owner.

08FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does corporate identity work take?
It depends on scope. For corporate identity, diagnosis of 1–3 weeks, main work of 4–10 weeks and rollout of 2–4 weeks are typical ranges. Organisation size, the number of people in the decision process and current data maturity set those ranges; exact timing is put in writing after the diagnosis session.
Can we buy corporate identity on its own?
Yes. During diagnosis we check together whether your problem really sits in corporate identity; often a combination of two services produces a better result, and we say so openly at the proposal stage.
How is corporate identity priced?
Scope-based. For corporate identity the deliverables, duration and the team involved are written item by item into the proposal, so no surprise line appears later. If budget is tight, the scope can be split into layers and continued once the first layer shows a result.
Can our own team run corporate identity delivery?
It can. On many projects we build the corporate identity decision and system layers while the in-house team continues day-to-day delivery. The guide, templates and training needed for handover are included.
