Digital and 3D

Our production philosophy in one line: not visuals, but 3D content that produces decisions. Every asset we make has to speed up or improve a decision.

Digital and 3DPRACTICE

The Digital and 3D studio continues the legacy 3D Modelling and Animation practice and carries its founding principle across all of Avenra. A render can be beautiful; but if it does not accelerate the buying committee's decision, it has not done its job. That is why every project starts with one question: which decision, by whom, and when?

The visuals, models and experiences we produce exist to support decisions. Every project starts with which decision will be made, by whom, and when. Those three answers set the scope and usually reduce the number of assets produced; the aim is the right set, not a large one.

All our 3D production runs in Blender 3D. We review the project files handed to us in the finest detail and complete modelling, materials, lighting, animation and rendering in one environment. Working in a single application removes file loss between teams, shortens revision cycles and creates no extra licence cost on your side.

Technical validation is a required step. We do not go into production without engineering data; missing or contradictory geometry is validated with the relevant team. Assets are built as a reusable library, and source file handover, revision rights and licence terms are defined in writing at proposal stage.

Key takeaways

  • Every 3D project starts with the question “which decision gets faster?”
  • Technical validation is mandatory; we do not go into production without engineering data.
  • We build assets as a reusable library — the second project costs less.
  • Source file handover, revision rights and licence are written at proposal stage.

07FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does 'decision-producing 3D content' mean?
Every visual we make has a decision owner and a decision. Will the investor fund it, will the buying committee approve it, will the field team install it correctly? If a visual does not measurably speed that decision, it gets redesigned.
What is the difference between a digital twin and a 3D model?
A 3D model is a static representation. A digital twin is a live model that takes data from the real asset, reflects its state and lets you run scenarios on it. Every twin contains a 3D model; the reverse is not true.
Our engineering data is complex — can you work with it?
Yes. We start by reviewing the project files you hand over in the finest detail. For complex assemblies we run an optimisation and validation step first, then move to visualisation in Blender 3D.
Does AR/VR require special hardware?
Not always. Web-based AR runs on most smartphones. VR is recommended only for training simulation or high-interaction scenarios; we rule out unnecessary hardware investment up front.
